Tim Z. Hernandez
Tim Z. Hernandez is the author of All They Will Call You. An award-winning poet and novelist, Hernandez was born in the San Joaquin Valley, where many of the events in All They Will Call You take place. He ix currently an associate professor in the Creative Writing Department at the University of Texas in El Paso. Throughout All You Will Call You, he conducts rigorous, emotionally wrenching interviews with the friends and family members of the deceased. He mentions that his Spanish is poor.
Woody Guthrie
Woody Guthrie was an American singer-songwriter prominent in the folk music genre. While he is most famous for penning and recording “This Land is Your Land,” Guthrie is mentioned here in the book because he wrote a poem inspired by the plane crash at Los Gatos. Guthrie, who died in 1967, is not directly interviewed in the book.
