The Grooves's Home

There is a petting zoo is on the Groove’s property with a lot of animals. The Grooves inherited their house from Celine’s mom and have not had time to do much decorating. It is eclectic with a lot of books and plants. Red’s room is normal and plain, and Celine is willing to help her decorate it. There is a large oak tree outside of Red's window.

Bramble K-12 School

The town of Bramble is very small, so there is only one school housing all the children from kindergarten through high school. They are broken up into three sections with a playground by the section for the youngest kids. Marvin and Red are in the middle set of grades. While they both attend the school, one one scene in the novel is set in the school.
