Summary

In Chapter 40, when de la Granger located the file, Armand claimed there was nothing of use in it. He asked if he could take the file so he could show Dussault and Girard something. Armand managed to avoid the guards outside and escape the archives. Loiselle, however, spotted him running away and shot at him, but did not hit him.

In Chapter 41, in the taxi on the way to Stephen’s apartment, Armand talked to Reine-Marie. Doctors were doing a cesarean to ease the stress on the baby’s heart. He told her again he would be there as soon as he could.
