Summary
In Chapter 35, Reine-Marie researched the dates from Stephen’s slip of paper, looking for things that happened on those specific dates. The first date corresponded to the disappearance of a reporter from Agence France-Presse in Patagonia. When her body was found, her phone and computer were missing. It was deemed an accident and the story went quiet, but Jean-Guy believed someone had been paid off. He thought the reporter had discovered something that someone wanted to keep hidden. A month before the reporter disappeared, she had written a story about the derailment of train cars in Colombia.
Meanwhile, Armand stopped at his apartment. When he opened to box of Stephen’s things, he was surprised to see a gun inside. The bullets inside were not standard issue, not what one would use to kill a person. He hid the gun in the bookcase...
