Summary
In Chapter 11, Reine-Marie was surprised when Armand met her in the Hôtel Lutetia’s bar Joséphine and whispered to her not to react before stepping aside to reveal that Dussault was with him. She understood what Armand meant when Dussault stooped to kiss her cheeks.
Jacques, a busboy whom Armand knew well, arranged for Armand to have a private suite so they could look through the box that contained Stephen’s personal things. They could not access Stephen’s computer because Armand did not have the password. His phone was smashed. An Allen wrench and some screws were also in the box. Armand admitted he had just swept everything from the desk where Stephen’s computer was sitting into the box. Among the things were two nickels that were stuck together.
