Summary

The narrator begins the section by sharing that every pilgrim’s reaction after their miracles is special for them and for their darkness. Daniel is hiding in the desert and notes that his vision is getting worse. He is going blind and he knows this is a hint as to how he can rid himself of his darkness, but he is not sure what it means. Daniel can hear Joaquin’s radio show. This comforts him and makes him feel less alone. He is listening to the show when Joaquin interrupts to announce an interview with Marisita. He asks her questions about what she saw the night Daniel ran away from Bicho Raro.
