Chapter 4 summary Home-based learners: Defect! Summary

In attempt to report her progress to Bob, Alice tells him that she is thinking about going to normal school again. Bob is ecstatic about her decision and quickly starts the paperwork to get Alice enrolled. Alice thinks her parents are going to be upset but the surprise her by being supportive. Macgregor tells Alice that he thinks that she will do fine in regular school but Alice is still nervous. Due to her circumstances, Alice is being enrolled in an alternative school which Bob describes as being a school for athletes and people who are special.
