Sacrifices for Love

Josie and Palmer’s story illustrates the sacrifices the two make for each other, sacrifices that demonstrate the beauty of true love and the blessings that can come from knowing when to sacrifice. There are small sacrifices that Josie and Palmer make for one another. For instance, Palmer shaves his beard when he flies to Seattle to surprise Josie. There are also big sacrifices that they make for one another. For example, Josie gives up the promise of a career in Seattle to try to make a life for herself with Palmer in Ponder. Perhaps, the most important decision to not sacrifice is when Josie chooses to follow her opportunity to work with Chef Anton in Seattle. The decision leads Josie in an unexpected direction.
