Chapter 10 Summary
Randy wakes in a Miami Beach hotel before The Day dreaming a white-capped waitress is offering him morning coffee or evening chocolate yclairs at a French restaurant. The lady looks like Lib and calls him Randy darling. Actually it is Lib and real coffee from his iron rations she offers with powdered cream and real sugar. Randy asks if Dan and everyone else gets coffee, and there is broth for Dan and candy for the children specifically Caleb. Randy showers and shaves while Lib watches fascinated by his travail. He plans to see Dan and then Sam about a military operation. He asks Dan for the full story and he tells it with another cup of coffee. Dan stopped at the Marines Park bandstand to check for notes from any patients. Herbert Sunbury leaves a note that his children are sick. Dan goes...
