This is the center of most of the novel's action. Here, there are "two" New Yorks, Emerson's and Nikki's. The first is mundane and intellectual while the other glamorous.

The Stark Center

This is the site for the operations on Nikki and Em.

Full-Body Transplant

This is the medical name for the procedure undertaken on Em and Nikki.

Felix's Basement

This is the place where Felix researches and hacks the internet.

Christopher's Room

This is the place where Em realizes how much she meant to him, as demonstrated by the enormous picture of her he has.

Bugs

Most of the locations and apartments in the novel are bugged by the Stark Corporation; only Steven knows how to block them.

Cosabella

This character is also known as "Cosa." Nikki, and then Em's, dog.

The Loft

This is the apartment that Em/Nikki shares with Lulu.
