Chapters 22-23 Summary

The rest of the group separate Em and Nikki, as they search for more explanations. Dr. Fong had to work on his own, without the company knowing, which begs the question: why did Stark want to kill Nikki? Nikki inadvertently reveals that she'd found out some big secret about one of the corporation's new video games, but is scared to find out that they found her simply through her emails to Justin. Going to check on the car, Em gets grabbed by Brandon, who has now awoken and heard almost everything.

In the final chapter, Brandon tells Em that he's taking her to his private island, or he'll tell his dad everything. The real Nikki still wants him, though he is dismissive of her. Brandon will take the others with him as insurance, but before they go, he makes Em break...
