Chapters 7-12 Summary
Chapter 7. Camille. Camille does not understand the pressure her friends and classmates feel in their attempts to get into the best schools. Camille has no interest in college. Later, Camille gets another mysterious postcard. This causes Camille to remember the first time she spoke with her Chicago boyfriend. That weekend, Camille goes with her friends to a party at the Lake House. Ellen tells Camille who everyone is, including a very good looking baseball player from another school. That weekend Camille hooks up with a boy.
Chapter 8. Becca. Becca finds her job overwhelming and wishes she had more time to spend with Alec. Becca continues with her school work, but is so overwhelmed with homework that she cannot stop worrying about it even when she manages to sneak off to see Alec.
