Mari
Mari is a nineteen year old college student. She is studying to become a Chinese translator. When she was a child, she was severely bullied at school. It was so bad that she refused to go back to school until her parents allowed her to go to a Chinese school that was less competitive and friendlier. She prefers to speak in Chinese rather than Japanese, and is going to study abroad in Beijing for six months. She feels a strange affinity for the prostitute who she translates for.
