Summary
In Chapter 14: 4:25 a.m., we return to Eri’s bedroom and find that the television is back on. Eri is in the screen, looking through to the real world, and trying to get back in. The screen turns to static, and we scream at her to run. She does not hear us, but she senses the danger and runs anyway. The chapter breaks and we are in Shirakawa’s kitchen. He is eating yogurt and watching a television program about deep sea creatures, but he is contemplating the relationship between thought and action.
