Summary
As they get ready for bed in Chapter 33, Linda asks her husband whether all people suffer from mood swings as she does. He says that he thinks that everyone has a dual personality that they try to suppress and only a few let it lose. Then he references Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and compares the case to how dictators are born. He says that only a few people really do not know the difference between right and wrong. Before he goes to sleep, he tells her that she is stronger than he is and that it could be that he does not show his feelings because he does not want to appear to be weak.
