Summary
In Chapter 25, Linda shares the facts that she has learned about Marianne and the opinion that she forms of her. She reports that she has been sleeping better in Chapter 26. It is not because of the trip that the family took to Nyon, however. It is because she has diagnosed her problem and realizes that her usual manner of surviving during troubled times is not going to work this time. The only thing that will work is for her to achieve her goal of getting Jacob to love her. By the next chapter, she has a confirmed date with Jacob in a place and at a time he chooses.
