Adèle
Adèle is a Parisian woman in her thirties. She is married to Richard, who she has a nearly sexless relationship with. She wants to be with Richard, though, because he provides her financial support and also gives her emotional and physical stability. She has a son, Lucien, who she loves and feels burdened by. She thought that having a child would give her purpose and illuminate her life, and she was very happy and satisfied during her pregnancy, but after Lucien was born she found herself bored with the concept of motherhood.
