Epilogue Summary

Nick is standing near a stream when he notices the dog from his dream is standing next to him. They introduce themselves to each other. Nick asks the dog if he knows where they are and Dog says they are in Death. Nick asks about the hemispheres.

Dog tells Nick that Orannis is bound once again in the hemispheres. He confirms the hemispheres will be reburied under earth and spell to contain the Destroyer. When Nick asks about Sam and Lirael, Dog tells him they are alive but not unscathed. He says Lirael lost her hand, but that Sam will make her one out of gold and she'll be forever known as Lirael Goldenhand. The Dog tells Nick of the charter mark that Dog placed on Nick's forehead. The Dog says he is sending Nick back to Life.
