Chapter 22 Summary

Nick runs into Tim Wallach. Tim says he has to stop Hedge. Hedge killed all his workers. Tim says what they're doing is wrong. Nick continues with his inner struggle of stopping the joining of the hemispheres and carrying through with the orders of the Master.

Sam promises Souhtherlings land to help him fight. Sam meets Tim Wallach. Tim tells Sam about Nick and how to possibly disable the nine lightning roads. Mogget is missing.

Chapter 22 Analysis

Nick's former and current life are crossing paths. Nick had been friends with Tim Wallach prior to being invaded by Free Magic. The Free Magic leverages this relationship to get Tim Wallach to work for Nick, Hedge and ultimately the Destroyer. It seems as if Nick might have misrepresented the purpose of the work to Tim.
