Summary

In Chapter Twenty-three, Gwen is shocked that the battle is moving along so quickly as she and the men are forced to make a controlled retreat further into Silesia. As the Empire forces continue to beat down the Silesians, they decide it is time to move to lower Silesia. They are finally safe here, protected by a field of spikes, but Gwen knows they only have a limited amount of provisions.

In Chapter Twenty-four, as the men in the boat face the sea monster, Thor prays. He feels a heat rising in his body. An orb of light shoots out of his hands and lands in the monster’s mouth, killing it. As the boat continues through the Underworld, Indra tells Thor that he is the man that she has heard about.
