Ivonovo

Ivonovo is the town where Sasha grows up. Though it is reasonably large with a hospital, street car, and school, Sasha considers it “provincial.” There are some specific settings described, including the woods near the park where Marik dies. Later, Andrei and Sasha spend a lot of time at the very edge of that park. As a child, Sasha, her mother, and her maternal grandparents live in one side of a duplex. Moscow
