Summary

In Chapter 44, during the lunch break, Jake and his team agreed the morning had been a success for the prosecution. Based on facial expressions and body language they believed that six of the male jurors were ready to pronounce Drew guilty.

Back in the courtroom, Noose refused to allow the pathologist, Ed Majeski, to show any pictures of the crime scene. On cross-examination, Jake questioned Majeski about Stuart’s blood alcohol content and pointed out several autopsies that Majeski had performed in which the cause of death had been alcohol poisoning. One of those who died had a blood alcohol content of 0.32 the other had a 0.33. Stuart’s, in comparison, was 0.36.
