Summary
Chapter 20
Zane is going through the emporium, trying to find objects worth stealing so he can sell them at a pawn shop. He thinks his parents lost the letter in the chaos of the balloon crash, since they haven't mentioned it to him. He’s hopeful that if he can get enough money to help pay for the apartment repairs they won’t ship him away to boarding school.
Chapter 21
Will escapes from The Owner’s room, holding onto the precious hairpin that he has recovered. He decides he needs to hide, and he picks one of the rare suitcases to hide in. While hiding, he eventually drifts off to sleep.
