Summary

Chapter 6

Miss Mallory feels that Cady is going to find her parents soon. She has never been wrong about her feelings before. Part of her is happy, but she’s also gotten close to Cady and will miss her. Miss Mallory gets the mail, which has the tickets for the Sunshine Bakers contest that Cady is entering. She’s about to tell Cady that something has changed with the judges, but Cady runs off to get the cake out of the oven before she can finish her thought.

The chapter opens with Marigold’s mother, Dolores Asher, treating V at the hospital. V is still unable to speak, and they know nothing about her.
