Madame Weatherberry's Glove
Madame Weatherberry always wears a glove which is a symbol of her effort to hide the truth about herself. She leads Brystal and the others to believe that a person with magical power is either born to be a witch (evil) or a fairy (good), but Brystal eventually learns that is not the truth and that being good or evil is a choice. When a magician practices witchcraft, their bodies begin to change. Madame Weatherberry's arm is black from using her dark magic, which is what the glove is covering. She eventually has to wear both gloves.
