Summary

Chapter 7 is titled “Permission.” Madame Weatherberry again says she is looking for Brystal. When she discovers Brystal is being restrained above the well, she uses magic to release her. Mr. Edgar refuses to allow Brystal to leave until Madame Weatherberry produces the document signed by King Champion. Brystal wants to bring Pip but Madame Weatherberry says she can take only two. Brystal hugs Pip, who urges Brystal to take the opportunity to get away. A magic vine growing inside the carriage has all sorts of fruits and Madame Weatherberry invites Brystal to help herself. As they drive away, Madame Weatherberry says the girls at the facility are in a better situation than some people with magic.
