Summary

Chapter 19 is titled “The Stationmaster.” James realized he was not the same without Bob. He described feeling “whole” after returning to London. By that point, almost two years had passed since James found Bob. James had been telling everyone about Bob's intelligence and felt some did not believe him. He then discovered that he had been “underselling” Bob's intelligence. He began to worry because Bob did not seem to need to go outside as often. He made a trip to the vet who did not have answers. James woke very early one morning and discovered Bob was peeing in the toilet. James felt he should not have been surprised at anything Bob did.
