Summary

Chapter 3 is titled “The Snip.” Bob was recovering and sometimes became a “dervish,” romping around James's flat. He sometimes clawed at things, including James, who knew there was nothing malicious in his behavior. James knew Bob was battling high levels of testosterone that James knew would prompt Bob to roam the streets in search of females, facing the dangers of fighting other animals and facing the busy streets. James had a voucher for the surgery and took Bob to the Abbey Clinic on the appointed day. James handed Bob to a nurse and set up at a nearby railway station to play until time to pick up Bob.
