Chapter 82, Epilogue: Merrett Frey Summary

Merrett Frey is going to Oldstones to ransom back his relation, Petyr Pimple, from a group of outlaws. Merrett muses over his many failures and life, and hopes if he does this job well, his luck will change. When he gets there, he meets the Brotherhood without Banners. They take the gold and take him to claim Petyr Pimple, who has already been hanged. Merrett is prepped to be hanged as well.

The Brotherhood ask him if he knows where Sandor Clegane is, but Merrett does not. He says he had nothing to do with the Red Wedding, and there are no witnesses to prove they did.
