Chapter 62, Sansa Summary

Sansa Stark leaves the throne room before Joffrey Baratheon finished choking to death. Dontos arrives to take her away, and Sansa asks him if he used one of the amethysts from her hairnet to poison Joffrey. Dontos says no and tells her Tyrion has been arrested for the murder. They escape King's Landing on a small boat, which takes them to a bigger boat. She is shocked to find Lord Petyr Baelish, who was behind the attempt to get her out of the city. He kills Donto. Sansa asks why he killed Joffrey, and Petyr says sometimes one does not need a motive. Petyr tells Sansa he loved Catelyn, her mother, and he will now take Sansa home.
