Chapter 46, Catelyn Summary

Catelyn Stark, her son Robb, her brother Edmure, and Lothar Frey set out for the wedding at the Twins. Jeyne Westerling begs them to take her, but Robb sends her back to Riverrun. Catelyn suggests this since the Freys are mad at Robb for marrying Jeyne. Catelyn thinks about Robb sending Ser Rolph Spicer away so Grey Wind could be near him. Robb also has his army of 3,500 men. Robb plans to retake the north after the wedding.

The party reaches the village of Oldstones, and Catelyn recalls how the castle was when she was a little girl. They discuss the need for Robb to name an heir until Jeyne is with child.
