Chapter 44, Arya Summary
Gendry tells Arya Stark that his old master said Thoros was a false priest, and Thoros says he once was. He tells them he never wanted to be a priest, so he never excelled, until he met King Robert Baratheon. Robert was impressed with Thoros' blazing swords. They meet with an old dwarf woman called the Ghost of High Heart, who tells them Balon Greyjoy, one of the claimants to the Iron Throne, is dead. She also describes her dreams. She examines Arya and tells her she smells of death. Beric tells the woman they are taking Arya to Riverrun to see Catelyn Stark, her mother. The woman says Catelyn is at the Twins for Edmure Stark's wedding to Roslin Frey.
