Chapter 43, Daenerys Summary

Daenerys Targaryen and Ser Jorah Mormont are looking down at the Yunkish army, of the city of Yunkai. The army consists of the Yunkish and two sellsword companies. Jorah tells Daenerys they could take the Yunkish, but Daenerys does not want to waste the lives of her army needlessly. She asks the leaders of the army and the companies to meet with her. She rides to check her army, which consists of several former slaves and refugees from Astapor, who were afraid to stay in the city, and the Unsullied.

Daenerys meets with the three captains of the Stormcrow sellswords, who will not join her side. One of the captains, Daario, nods at her as he leaves. The Second Sons company captain will not switch sides, but requests wine, and Daenerys gives him a wagonful. The Yunkai envoys come with money...
