Preservation vs Progress
This is a story that highlights the constant struggle to maintain a balance between progress and preservation. While one man advocates development and what he perceives as progress, another fights for the preservation of wildlife and the natural resources that he grew up learning to appreciate and love. Dirk Courtney is determined to increases his wealth regardless of the cost to others or to the environment. While he has the money and the means to further development in the Chaka Gate and Bubezi Valley areas, his vision is shortsighted at best.
