Chapters 106 - 110 Summary
Mark goes to see Marion. He tells her about the progress he is making in Chaka's Gate, and Marion encourages him. Inside she is making plans. The ceremony is held soon after, and Marion is thrilled that Sean and Ruth came, knowing it elevates her status. Afterward, her possessions are loaded onto Trojan and Spartan, and she throws herself into the life, working as hard and long as any Zulu. Her platitudes are far from the natural warmth and enthusiasm he wants, and before long, he is looking for ways to escape. A new herd of buffalo moves into the reserve, and he going on patrol. Without protest, she packs his gear.
