Chapters 61 - 65 Summary
Irene leaves Mark's cabin and goes to Storm. She blabs that Mark 'bounced her like a rubber ball'. Storm's face gives Irene great satisfaction.
Fergus MacDonald stirs up the union workers, saying they will be out of jobs and Harry tells them their executive recommends they go on strike. 'Slim Jannie Smuts' has an army intent on holding the workers back he says, but they have an army of their own.
The Prime Minister tells his guests the workers are organized and Sean intervenes, hoping the Prime Minister has exaggerated. Mark remembers the cellar of weapons and contemplates his loyalties. Overwhelmed with guilt, he must betray his friend once more. He tells the General about the weapons and then leaves, wandering for hours before finding himself in front of the post office. He goes inside and sends a telegram to warn...
