Chapters 56 - 60 Summary

Mark works long hours and Sean throws a party after Mark helps win the Africa Cup. Part way through Ruth confides an unwanted guest arrived - Sean's estranged son, Dirk. Mark goes down when Dirk learns his name Mark realizes he is the man responsible for John Anders death, the attempts on his life, and the theft of Andersland. Sean enters and Dirk makes a proposition. If Sean gets Parliament to release Chaka's Gate, Dirk will dam the river and farm what remains. Mark tells the General he is leaving, and wants Sean to know that he will fight him and his son, but then he sees the General is crying. Soon, life revolves around the Parliament session and they move to Table Mountain for the duration. Storm returns and doesn't recognize Mark at first, but when she does she threatens...
