Love
Love is an important theme in the novel “A Snicker of Magic” by Natalie Lloyd. Love comes in all different shapes and forms, but it is especially love in general and romantic love that play an important part in the plot. (While familial love will be dealt with briefly in this section, see the theme “Family” for a greater exploration of family love.)
Much of the novel’s backstory is built around love. Stone and Berry Weatherly were once very close brothers whose lives were made better by the other, as well as by the music that they made. Their wealth and fame never got in the way of their love for one another as brothers, but romantic love did. Both brothers fell in love romantically with Isabella, while Isabella fell in love with both brothers romantically as well. As a result, the brothers became jealous...
