Summary

Chapter 7 – Felicity and her family are staying with Aunt Cleo. Aunt Cleo requires that they attend church with her. Mama isn’t thrilled about it, but agrees to go. They travel together to Friendship Community Church, Felicity is awed by the beauty of the church and the stained glass windows. She also hears the pastor talk about an unknown person called “The Beedle” who does good acts throughout town without expecting anything good in return. Felicity now knows why Jonah wants his secret name to remain a secret. During prayer time, Felicity prays to God for her loved ones and her new friend, Jonah. The pastor then speaks about felicity – true and intense joy and happiness – being essential to life. This catches Felicity’s attention.
