Summary
In Chapter 34, "Sean," Sean as the narrator gives his version of life with Emily. He says that he should have left her after their honeymoon when he realized that she was not the person he thought she was. He also talks about how she treated him with even less respect and love than before when Nicky was born. He admits that he loves her risk taking personality and follows along in order to keep her. He says that she devised the insurance scam and he went along because not doing so would have meant the end of their marriage. He really believed that she was dead and this was not part of the plan. He does not love Stephanie, however, she is useful in fulfilling his needs as he gets over the death of Emily. Then he receives a text with the code...
