Summary

In Chapter 25, "Emily," Emily as the narrator tells readers about everything that has led up to this point from her perspective. She talks about how she feels watching Stephanie, Sean, and the children, growing up with her parents, how she met Sean and realized that she could get him to do whatever she wanted and how and why she had chosen to meet Stephanie. She also tells readers that the insurance fraud idea was hers, how she had gotten Sean to agree to go along with it and what was supposed to happen. She also lets readers know that she loves Nicky, that Stephanie told her that she thinks that Miles is Chris’ son and that she underestimated Stephanie as she did not think she would try to replace her and she had underestimated Sean because she had not thought he would not...
