Summary
“The Story” is told mostly through dialogue. Anna is in the bar as she tells a story to Yves, whom Stan calls Stoker. Anne tells a story her grandfather told her about a sailor helping refugees cross borders and navigating by sound. Anna talks about a bird called "el corazon de Jesus." The indigenous people claim that the bird died because it was trying to fly into the sun. Anna compares it to the story of Icarus and mentions other Greek stories. Later, Harry and Yves talk about the Labour party and Corbyn over a pint. Anna admits to being a socialist. They all discuss Camus and movies, journalism, and “ideas on masculinity and so forth.
