Chapter 23: Sofia

Claudia stares at Sofia, disgusted. She does not believe Sofia when she says Ben is just her friend. Derek asks Claudia to give Ben to him as a new slave because it will please Sofia. Claudia reluctantly agrees.

Sofia hugs Ben again. Ben says he hates all of them. Sofia says that they will be safe with Derek. Ben says that Derek will tire of her and then what?

Chapter 24: Derek

Derek and Sofia are in Derek’s bedroom. There is, for the first time, an air of discomfort. Sofia thanks Derek for saving Ben. Derek changes the subject and asks Sofia what Lucas said to her earlier. It clearly upset her at the time. Sofia refuses to say. Derek overreacts and pins Sofia on the bed, reminding her that no matter what may have changed, she still belongs to him...
