Summary

Chapter 18: Derek

Corrine tells Derek that Sofia has been wounded. Derek demands to know who hurt Sofia and who killed Gwen. Corrine tells Derek to calm down and thinks he might be the culprit. Vivienne arrives and defends Derek. Corrine shows disdain for their kind. Derek tells Corrine she can leave any time she likes. Vivienne is stunned.

Corrine sends Derek and Vivienne away, saying she needs to be alone with Sofia to help her.

Chapter 19: Sofia

Corrine sits with Sofia and asks her what has happened. Sofia feels cared for yet, she does not trust Corrine. She lies and says she does not remember what happened. Corrine knows she is lying. Instead, Corrine asks Sofia to tell her about her time at the Shade.

Sofia does not think Derek will punish Lucas. Sofia promises herself that Lucas will pay.
