Summary

Chapter 13: Sofia

Sofia feels uncomfortable in the room. Vivienne and Lucas want to discuss things in private. Vivienne is surprised when Derek says he trusts Sofia not to run away again. Sofia is sent off to find the other girls.

Sofia meets Sam and Kyle, two guards in front of the rooms housing the other girls. Sam is friendly to Sofia, and suddenly Sofia feels as if she has a friend.

The girls ask Sofia many questions. Sofia says Derek has not harmed her or forced her to do anything against her will. Sofia tells the girls that being in Derek’s good graces may be the only way to survive.

Chapter 14: Derek

Derek is taken on a tour to see what has changed in his absence.
