Summary

Chapter 6: Derek

Derek studies the girls. He sees Sofia take another girl’s hand for comfort. Derek is impressed at Sofia’s humanity and wishes he still had the same quality.

Derek pushes Sofia against the wall but does not bite her.

Chapter 7: Sofia

Sofia’s back hurts as she is pressed against the wall. Perhaps Lucas was right in calling her fragile. Derek does not realize his own strength.

Derek ignores Vivienne’s pleas and bares Sofia’s neck. Sofia has no option but to beg. It doesn’t seem to work until she tells Derek that he has a choice and that he is not a victim. Derek lets Sofia go but tells Vivienne that she will be his personal slave.
