Chapter 10 Summary
"Into Everyone's Life a Coconut Man Should Fall"
In the tree house, Donna Kay tells Tully about Sammy Raye and how his parents died and he inherited a large sum of money. Sammy Raye became a successful songwriter and entrepreneur and he met Donna Kay at a restaurant in Arkansas. He offered her a job as his personal chef. She went to work for him and after a while she found and trained a new cook for Sammy Raye and Donna Kay went on to open a restaurant, which Sammy Raye helped her buy.
Donna Kay tells Tully that she isn't just on vacation, but that she came to tell him that she is getting married. Tully mishears her and thinks she says she wants to get married. She corrects him and asks him if he remember Clark Gable.
