Chapters 4-6 Summary

Chapter 4. Vicky went to work with John because it was her day to visit the dolphins. She wishes she were more scientific than poetic and realizes that she doesn't know anything about dolphins. She's really looking forward to spending a day with Adam, and compared that to how she felt about spending a day with Zachary. It feels completely different. With Zachary, she feels as if she is acting, even though she is excited and nervous. With Adam, it is different. It is even different from spending time with Leo, who is turning out to be a good friend. She reflects that when she went out with Leo, she didn't even really consider it a date.
