Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn MacGil is Queen of the realm of the Ring, and the daughter of deceased King MacGil. She is the sister of Luanda, Kendrick, and Reece. Gwendolyn also has an infant son named Guwayne, and is in love with Thorgrin. She is young and beautiful. She is loved by her people because she is not a very forceful leader. As such, her desire for peace is perceived and exploited as weakness by her enemies, opponents, and even some allies. She realizes during the repulse of the Pilgrimage Day assault by the forces of McCloud that she can no longer be seen as weak and ineffective. Rather, she resolves to be a strong and decisive leader, forcing her people to do what is best for them by evacuating the city of King’s Court for the Upper Isles to escape Romulus.
