Summary

Chapter 8

As Alistair is about to be gang-raped, she manages to freeze one man’s hand, who proclaims her to be a sorcerer. She senses a great power within her, and the ship begins to rock back and forth. The men are thrown from one side of the ship to the other, back and forth, until their ribs are all cracked. Many of the sailors are swallowed up by a whale. Alistair and Erec, now freed, rush to a lifeboat. As the captain of the ship tries to stop them, Erec stabs him. He and Alistair then escape into the lifeboat.
